Hexagonal mesh It is used for armouring and retaining abrasion and acid resisting linings as well as heat insulating linings applied to vessels and cyclone walls.

Hexsteel/Hexmesh panels are made of formed steel strips with protruding prongs clamped in such a way to guarantee a high
rigidity of the panel also after rolling. The presence of a good four slots in each cell does guarantee a perfect distribution of
refractory during lining operation.

Our hexagonal mesh panels can be supplied either flat or cut to size and rolled; after rolling, they can easily fit inside
vessel walls and provide for a perfect continuity of the refractory lining, even with very narrow radii of as small as 6”.
Standard flat panels size: 2000 x 1000 mm (P x T)* in AISI304H and 410S. On request we can supply, at a reasonable short notice, our hexagonal mesh panels in other dimensions and materials.

Hexmesh/Hexsteel 28NLS has a twofold characteristic which gives an excellent performance, i.e. the existence of no. 2 lances inside each hex opening, that guarantees a remarkable cohesion between hexmesh and the refractory lining, while the openings created by the lances turned toward the adjacent cells, allow a perfect distribution of refractory during the lining operation.
Moreover, the specific “offset” positioning of the lances (placed closer to the vessel wall than in the standard type) enables a
longer durability of refractory material, even in the presence of strong corrosive/erosive agents that cause a reduction of its thickness during plant working.

Hex Mesh/Hexsteel 28AALS has a twofold characteristic which gives an excellent performance, i.e. the existence of no. 2 lances inside each hex opening, that guarantees a remarkable cohesion between VICO-Still® and the refractory lining, while the openings created by the lances turned toward the adjacent cells, allow a perfect distribution of refractory during the lining operation.
Hex Mesh/Hexsteel 28AALS, la suitable for high-thickness lining (38 or 50 mm), in case specs. Require the use of hexagonal mesh instead of single anchors (V-anchors).
